Learning Objectives
Main Learning Objectives of the Degree
1. To recognize the ethical elements, professional values, legal principles, and other essential components of the medical profession.
2. To provide students with a solid understanding of the structure and function of the human body, as well as human behavior.
3. To prepare students to understand the mechanisms of disease in the human body, as well as its causes and risk factors.
4. To identify the foundations of all types of therapeutic interventions, based on scientific evidence.
5. To develop a diagnostic approach and propose the most appropriate treatment for the most prevalent conditions.
6. To demonstrate clinical skills in writing a medical history, performing a physical examination, and conducting a mental status assessment. Students will also be able to establish effective communication with patients, family members, and other professionals. 7. To provide students with an understanding of the determinants of population health, enabling them to take preventive and protective actions in maintaining and promoting health.
8. To utilize clinical and biomedical information sources and apply this information in research according to the scientific method.
CAREER PATHS.
This degree provides a broad, general medical education. Graduates may later specialize through the national residency programme (MIR).
